Hello, blog! A lot has been brewing since my last dump. I love/hate my work. I love helping people to feel better and to get to know their bodies better. Unfortunately, I have to work with some of the most egotistical, selfish, clueless, and outright assholy people. Yeah, that’s not a spelling error. Assholy as in people who think they’re spiritual healers but are just charlatans who are spiritual masturbators. I work with a delicate, butterfly of a person. They can’t/won’t do deep tissue work and god forbid they need to do a 2 hour massage. They call out at least once a week. Mind you, they work a whopping, 20 hour week. Or, should I say, they’re scheduled 20 hours? Either way, they’re pretty useless. They’ll come out of a treatment and whine about how this client’s energy has them in a funk, or they were sexually harassed. This therapists comes to work like they’re ready for a glamour shoot. Seriously. I did a follow up, 2 hour massage and read the notes they left when they worked on the same client for the same time. Guided meditation, craniosacral and some massage. I do a mixed grill of sports, deep tissue, and Swedish.
DON”T do energy work on a client when they don’t ask for it, you lazy, inconsiderate puke. Don’t show off your “business” cards that offer your services as a spiritual adviser and mention you didn’t use the word “counselor” because you don’t want to attract needy people who might think you went to school and are qualified in any way to be a counselor. Bitch just wants to get paid to spew their intuitive bullshit and not have to deal with real issues. Fuck that! I left a circle of those same types of charlatans who thought that just because they owned a drum and burned sage that made them qualified to charge people for their services.
Female misogynists enrage me. I’ve worked for a few and being the boss insulates them from a lot of that rage. The men are quick to pick up on their penis privilege and begin to act like the dicks they really are. As if they are above the rules. Whining like spoiled brats when they can’t get their way, and crying discrimination because clients prefer female therapists. Sorry boys. That’s just the nature of the business. Oh, and try upping your skills and bathing regularly. Don’t come in reeking of desperation cologne either. Stinking up the studio with your dime store. gag worthy scent. It’s gross and we have clients who are scent sensitive. Have some class, you overly scented turd.
I also have to deal with a few, narcissists who take passive aggression to an art form. Imagine Trump with some intelligence and a vagina. Are you laughing yet? Calling them out on their obvious, bullshit is a waste of breath. They deflect and misdirect until you’re ready to kill or give up. These bitches aren’t worth the jail time. I have a co-worker who’s studying to become a forensic psychologist. Yeah, she wants to work for the FBI studying serial killers. You go girl! She lent me a book on narcissists and it’s fascinating, but also triggering. You see, I grew up with one and now, I work for one. I recognize the behavior but always seem to fall into the traps. My friends wonder why I’m so dark and anti-social. Am I part of a small percentage of humanity who knows they’re damaged and seeks help? You try and confront some abusive cunts about their behavior and it’s not them. It’s YOU who has the problem. They’re perfect and always will be in their house of burning cards. I’d hate to think of the flaming, hot mess I’d be if my dad never introduced me to Zen meditation. Mindfulness has been a saving grace throughout my adult life. I’m far from being a Master and I’ve turned people away who asked me to be their Guru. Seriously, I’m still working on my own stuff. How arrogant and damaging would it be for a broken soul to try to heal other, broken souls? This is why I have a problem with these so call “healers” who charge people money to swing a pendulum, burn sage, shake a rattle, or any other form of bullshit, spiritual work. When I started on this path. I read many books and met other’s farther along on the path. It is unethical to charge money for using a gift. Prophesy, healing, or whatever. Unless you went to school, studied hard and got a license. Don’t charge people money. If they want to gift you then that’s another story. I did a rune reading for a couple at a bar where I was showing some art. They asked me what I charged and I said, “Nothing”. They felt compelled to give me something, so we settled on a drink. Everybody was happy.
Why can’t life be this simple all the time?
